THE ITALIANTE GLASSHOUSE
The Italianate Glasshouse, a Grade II* listed historic monument was erected in the grounds of East Cliff Lodge, Sir Moses Montefiore's 22 acre estate in 1832. The grounds of the house, now known as King George VI Memorial Park, were eventually taken over by Ramsgate Borough Council and the house was demolished in 1953.
The Glasshouse is open for visitors Monday to Friday from April 1st to September 30th.

RAMSGATE TUNNELS
Unlock the story of a hidden underground city which evolved from the largest and only known Civilian Deep Shelter Air Raid Precaution scheme authorised by Central Government.
Tunnel Explorer tours bring to life this most important part of Ramsgate’s history. As the town above was devastated, inhabitants took up residence in the tunnels. In 1940 over 300 families were living permanently in the evolving underground city. Sturdy footwear recommended.

SEAL BOAT TRIPS
Take a trip on the Sea Searcher to an active seal colony inside a National Nature Reserve which also has the benefits of a wide range of birds including the rare ingret. We time these trips to coincide with tidal flows for the best chance of seeing these wonderful mammals in their natural habitat.

JOSS BAY SURF LESSONS
People have been riding waves at Joss Bay for over 40 years and it is by far the most popular surf spot in South East England.
Since being established in 1998 we have given thousands of lessons to both young and old, abled and disabled, and pride ourselves on delivering professional and friendly surf and stand up paddle board lessons. Private and group lessons available.

TURNER CONTEMPORARY
Turner Contemporary is an internationally-renowned gallery showing contemporary and historical art. Since opening in 2011, the art gallery has exhibited the work of countless international artists, including Turner Prize nominees and winners Antony Gormley, Tracey Emin, Yinka Shonibare, and Paula Rego.
A café, shop and outdoor terrace are available for visitors to enjoy during gallery opening hours. Entry is FREE.

DREAMLAND MARGATE

THE SHELL GROTTO
Discovered in 1835, Margate's Shell Grotto is an astonishing find; 70ft (21 metres) of winding passages decorated with 4.6 million shells. The walls are covered in images of gods and goddesses, trees of life and patterns made of whelks, mussels and oysters.
Some think it is an ancient Pagan grotto, others that it is simply an ornate Regency folly; but with no definitive explanation or history, the Shell Grotto is Kent's greatest mystery.

Regular traditional type boat trips or river tours from Sandwich to the Roman Fort at Richbrough, short rides staying near the town. Mini cruises up river can go as far as Fordwich. MORELLI'S BROADSTAIRS
Every morning since 1907, in a tradition continued to this day, the ice cream at Morelli's is made fresh in every store. It began in Scotland when Giuseppe and his young son Mario, recently arrived from Southern Italy, set off on their bicycles every morning to sell their ice cream – not returning home until every last scoop was sold out.
As their signature gelato grew in popularity, soon the bicycle was replaced with a van and the business grew from strength to strength.

BUGSY'S BOWLING MARGATE
